i think i'm understanding from the owner's manual that this jack is capable of being used as a line-out? is that right or wrong?
i've tried running a cord from there to my mixer (wharfedale pro pm-600) but can't seem to get anything to make any noise.
i usually use the pre amp out and power amp in jacks for my effects loop, just trying to run it through the system.
better to get a di box?

Hi,

Audio line is often defined as -10dB (0,45V peak) on 100Ohm line OUT and 10K Line IN

On the Hot rod the line out is 1.5K (taking into account TL72 negleted), the level is not mentionned as 66mV rms. Line IN impedance is about 220K.

But it should work with audio equipment.

By the way, nice Mustang cab 5.4L V8 isn't it?

5.8 bored .030 over, mild cam, dual exhausts, C4 auto... thanks for asking.

thanks also for all the info on the amp. i guess my question was, does something have to be plugged into the power amp in jack? if so, then what?
right now the signal path is guitar-tuner pedal-amp input1; and my pedals are in the loop circuit, pre out-pedals-power in.
if i take the pre out cable and run it to the mixer, then what feeds the pedals?
do i feed wire the ol' fashioned way with the daisy chain running into the amp input?
doesn't that put the effects in the "wrong spot" as far as the amp circuitry goes?

wish i knew as much about this as i do my car.
thanks for your patience.

Hi,

Nothing needs to be inserted, it is a serial loop (preamp out jack in cut out the direct signal to the amplifier). It is designed for pedals, but I'm not expert since I don't use pedals. On think more, the input and output loop uses Op amp, then if you just want to have "lamp" sound, avoid it.

I think other members can help you for pedals.

By the way, each time I go to Detroit I rent a Mustang, definitively not as yours (only 4.6L available) but I like this car. It's a myth in France!

in that case i may as well just run the guitar/pedal chain directly into the mixer... i usually practice when the rest of the house is asleep and was hoping to feed that hot-rod sound through my head phones.
thanks for the input... and thanks for the interest in the car.
france might not be very familiar, but their neighbors in germany were in it from the beginning.
all the cars shipped over there couldn't be called "mustang" because somebody over there already made one, so the ford mustangs that were exported to germany had all the emblems and mustang-related lettering removed and replaced with "T5". they all had beefed up suspension and a one-piece "V" shaped brace in the engine compartment that connected the firewall to the shock towers. it stiffened up the front end for the rough roads in europe. the "export brace" was an option on the american cars, but you had to order it that way unless it was a GT.
lots of cool history in these machines.
if you're ever in the area, look me up. we'll taker 'er for a spin. 8)
