Hi guys. I picked up a brand new Fender Deluxe Reverb RI a day ago. I had no problems at the shop when trying it out but upon arrival at my house I had a very slight chirping noise while plugged into the vibrato 1 input. I tried moving the tubes around very slightly making sure that they were making good contact with their respective receptacle. This didn't seem to have any impact at all. So today I applied the "pencil eraser test", found nothing of note, and decided to pull all the tubes and clean the pins with electrical contact cleaner. This seemed to do nothing until I worked the tubes around a bit and let them warm up for about an hour.
Problem solved. I'm not sure which tube it was or which exact step silenced the "chirping" but the amp is performing flawlessly now.
I cannot believe how amazing it sounds. This is an amazing sounding piece of equipment at a great price. Especially if you can get one slightly used off ebay for around $580. The clean sounds are amazing when you add a helping of reverb and a bit of vibrato. The amp will also dirty up very nicely with a twist of the volume knob. If you are in a situaiton that prohibits extremely loud amps then I'm happy to report that this amp accepts all pedals (at least all that I have tried with it) very nicely.
I know you guys have probably heard all of this before but I'm just really happy with this thing. I knew it was a nice amp but this thing just blew my expectations out of the water.

Russ

Russ,I am glad you like the drri.I bought mine a while ago and love it.Previously I was using a blues jr in small clubs and a 59 bassman in larger places.I was seriously looking to replace the blues jr,but when I got the drri, I quit using the bassman because the drri fills the bill quite nicely and we dont play at alot of bigger venues. And the drri is lighter.
