Congrats! My Missus got me one for our anniversary about a month ago and it's sweet! I thought it sounded a bit muddy when using anything other than my bridge pickups but I swapped the power tube for a JJ and it really brightened things up.

Enjoy man!

Now we know what you spent your leftover per diem money on.

Seriously, everybody should have a porch weasel and that Champion is outstanding. And it's small enough to fit in your ruck for "tactical deployment", bwahahaha.

My "first sergeant" bought me a '68 Bronco for my birthday......it's a rocker!

Very sweet, ABS! I've been wondering where you've been. I don't miss the days of TDY's and Leadership Conferences...

What's the story on the Gretsch?

My Orange '65 Princeton Reverb (Jim Campolongo Limited Edition) finally showed up last week. What a sweet sounding amp! The Champ 600 is next on my list.

We need our Baja Tele's next!

Ricky,
Hey buddy! Great to be back! The gorgeous Gretsch was my Awesome wife's 6th Anniversary present to me!! She felt I needed a nice hollowbody and well...she spoils me like there is no tomorrow! That Orange 65 Princeton sounds great! You must post a pick!

I agree...Very nice Gretsch!
I'm about to go home on R&R from Afghanistan in a couple weeks, I also will have a Champion 600 at home waiting for me, my wife didn't get it for me though, I had to order it. Man you lucky, lol.
I will also have a couple JJs waiting to replace the 6v6 and the 12ax7. I was checking out the forum to find some info on replacement speakers. Does anyone know what sounds best for a wide variety of blues? My plan is to just make this this a little monster. I found a tone tubby 4 ohm 8" on ebay, was thinking about buying it, but not sure if it will fit, the back of the speaker looks pretty bulky, not sure.
But, if anyone has some info on the best 8" to add, my ears are wide open. I'll be playing my AmDeluxe Strat with the Clapton mod and Vintage Noisless through this thing..
