I have a brand new Blues Deluxe Reissue. I was wishing the other day that the "amp on" indicator lite was blue instead of red. I know its just a nit picky thing but I thought I would like it that way.

Now I notice that Guitar Center Online has alternate color jewel lite crowns for Fender amps. But some of the reviews for the product are dissapointed as the item offered did not fit their amp.

Anyone with some experience with these please, what do you know? Would they fit the Blues Deluxe Reissue?

Antiques electronic have some Fender jewel. Their jewels fit on all vintage Fender. If your light socket is US maid they will fit.

Send them an e-mail, they will tell you . I buy some stuf many many times from them and they are ok.

I wanted to do the exact same thing and ordered several different colors from Antique Electrical Suppy (a very good outfit, by the way). I was disappointed in the blue because the color looked good by inspection, but became very washed out when installed. The fit and finish of the lights were a perfect fit for my amp. I chose the amber instead because it looked the best of the lot, but I really wanted a good rich blue. I am happy with the amber though and it looks very nice on the tweed covered amp.

I had that same problem, Strat Dog.

What I did was, paint the bulb itself with some transparent blue Testors model car paint. Under the blue jewel it looks really blue now.

My Deluxe Reverb RI came with a blue jewel (and blue Tolex). The jewel is a little washed out- not a deep blue. I also have amber, red, green, purple, & clear jewels.

I put a gem clear blue LED in the clean channel of my Carvin X-Amp. You can almost read by it. It is so bright I can't see the controls on a dark stage. I'm blinded!
