I'm looking to upgrade my Hot Rod Deluxe to either the 65 Twin Reverb or Twin Combo amp.

Which would you prefer? What are the strengths and weakness of each?

I have no experience with the Combo.
However I did own a 65 TR RI and traded for a Hot Rod Deville.
The Twin has enough power to meet any size room but does not offer the crunch tone I wanted. Very clean and loud. Good for Country and Jazz but I don't thinks it's a R&R amp.

Hello. I really love my '65 Reissue Twin Reverb. I play Texas Blues, Southern Rock and Classic Rock with it but I use a couple of different pedals to get my overdrive and distortion sounds. The amp has a ton of headroom so you can play pretty much as loud as you want. I guess it also depends of what type of music you play too. Thanks.
