Today I went to GC and tried out the blues junior. It didn't seem to have that much warmth and bottom end compared to the HRD. One factor is that I didn't get to crank it and I was playing the blues junior at a very low volume. My question is: was there no bottom end/ warmth because I didn't turn it up that much? Thanks in advance :)

Mine has lots, but I have the older green board and sovtek tubes. The best thing about the blues jr is the ability to mod it.I have been changing tubes to alture the sound, sovteks have good bottom and good highs, groove tubes#5's have good highs and lousy bottom, ruby's have the best highs and the best bottom of all. :D

The BillM mods will improve the bottom end and warmth. The mods are an easy do-it-yourself project too. Replacing the stock speaker with a Texas Heat or Cannibus Rex will really liven up the amp also. There are plenty of other speaker choices. Those are the two I know best.
