Hello,

Im looking to get rid of a 1989 fender red knob, the twin, however, Im having a difficult time in offering a fair price. This amp is just too much amp for me and very heavy to gig with, any thoughts? I dont want to rip anybody off. Best!

I own the Black knob version. I believe this was the later models around 1991 - 92. I recently looked on eBay to get an idea of what they were going for and I was quite surprised as to what people are asking for these. I plan to keep mine. I love the sound. What I did was get a head cabinet from Mojo and made a head out of it. I paired that with a 2x12 cab that I have and I just love it. You really can't beat the sound from these amps. One of the things that I learned to do (SRV method) is to plug into channel two and then blend in channel one. This is amp is very versatile and many people that own them don't realize that you can do this with The Twin.

Check eBay for pricing ideas. I saw them up there for $800 to $1200 just last week.

Silverface Twins are fetching between $600-800. Asking price and sell price are two different things. I've seen red knob Twins going fro $350- 650 depending on condition. They're not bad amps, but they're not really that collectible.
