I've pretty much given up. It's kind of the running joke at the shop where I bought the amp and take lessons. I bought the amp back in early March and asked them to order me a footswitch at that time. My nickname at the shop is "footswitch" because every Saturday when I show up for a lesson I ask about the footswitch. Then we all have a little laugh about it.

After my lessons I typically spend a little time in the amp room messing around with the Dr. Z and Mesa ams - all of which come with a footswitch.

I actually like the amp a lot and it has been a big help in learning how to play the guitar and try out various styles. That said, I think they should save the $.50 and take the footswitch plug off if they are not going to sell a footswitch that will work with it. It's just a source of annoyance if you know what I mean.

Been twisting the tails of my retail and on-line sources for the last two months about the mythical SCXD footswitch. No joy of course.

Yesterday the manager at GC emailed me that they HAD the footswitch in stock on their web site. Turned out it was the FM65DSP footswitch and LABELED as for the SCXD too. Hmmmm.

Going to the SCXD spec page, Fender has changed the footswitch P/N to the FM65DSP number. Looks like they've folded on a special pedal.

I'm ordering the FM65DSP footswitch now!

I ordered mine from Sweetwater almost two weeks ago and am still waiting for it. I hope the info about the week of 9/07 is accurate. Would love to see that footswitch!!

I ordered mine from Musician's Friend this morning and they're in stock there now. Just got the order acknowledgment so apparently inventory is there and ready to ship. Jus' sayin'.

I buzzed over to the MF website this morning (8/31), and was amazed to the SCXD footswitch IN STOCK! So of course, I ordered one, and rec'd an order confirmation shortly thereafter. I checked the MF site this afternoon, curious to see if they were still in stock, and not surprisingly - the site now shows that they're back-ordered until early October. There's also a good chance that mine will be, too, by the time the order gets filled - so I'm crossing my fingers.

My Musician's Friend order arrived Friday night. Saturday a.m. plugged it in to check if it did what it's supposed to do. YESSsssssss!! Works as advertised!!

So, the summary is that the NEW p/n listing it for both the SCXD and the FM65DSP is accurate.

Got get yours!

Yep, it's the same footswitch. Works nice and the cable that comes with it seems indestructible. I think it's nearly everywhere available now. If I was able to find it in Greece then it's easy to find it all over the world !!!
