Just wanted to put out there that this speaker in this amp is amazing! Retains that "American" flavor, yet just sounds richer, fuller, and more, not to sound corney, but vintage. Good low cost option to the Rajun Cajun, I paid $40.00, and they are HAND BUILT, not mass produced.[

It reads like you're very happy with the change, (big thumbs up). I have a SCXD and am wondering why you made the change? Did you hear another SCXD with a different speaker or did you decide to "just do it" and hear for yourself?

For me and my ears the SCXD sounds fine with the original tubes and speaker. I don't have plans to make changes but would appreciate your sharing of why you made the change.

Mr. Brns- Made the swap without hearing a Weber speaker in a XD, but have heard his speakers in other applications. The newly released '57 Champ($1000.00) comes equipped with a 8" Ted Weber speaker right out of the box. Contacted Weber and told them what I had, and that I loved the sound of the new Champ, and they recomended that I put their 10" Vintage Series in as swap to ge the similar sound on Channel 1.
