It could be interference from lights, circuits, etc. Might try it in another location.

What is your amp model?

I did not agree with Fender. I heard many of Fender tubes amps and no one have this noise.

I believe the reverb in your Evil Twin is tube powered. A teeny bit of hiss or hum is normal if you crank up the reverb. Try and compare it to another Evil Twin or other amp with tube driven reverb. If your noise is much louder, then you got a problem. I'd start with replacing the tubes located in the reverb driver (12AT7) and recovery (12AX7) slots. If your Evil Twin is the one from the Pro Tube series after 2000 then it's tubes V7 and V5 according to the schematic http://support.fender.com/schematics/gu ... SchE45.pdf

If that's not your amp then maybe Fender or a tech could help locate the reverb tubes so you can replace them with new quieter ones. I hope that helps.

Max, V8 is the reverb driver and V9 is the reverb recovery tube for the Red Knob Twin. These amps are pretty complex and can be difficult to work on. Art
