I love my little B-Jr but was wondering what it would sound like running it into a 2X12 or 4X10 or similar. Anyone doing it?

I've rebuilt my BluesJr. to a head only so I do use an external cabinet.
I use the orig. speaker output (8ohms) & usually play a single 12" cab.
One has a Fender speaker (from a Deluxe)in an open back cab.-sounds good.
The other single 12 used on occassion, is a Celestion in a ported, closed back cab.- sounds more defined.
Someday I hope to use a 2-12 w/16ohm Webers (wired to 8ohm)-now that's the sound!
My dream would be an old empty Tremolux or Bandmaster cabinet. 8)

I had a cabinet made to turn my Blues Jr. into a 2x12 combo.

Mighty fine cabinetry there, Chet......I love the "retro" vibe!

I recently re-configured my SF Princeton into a 2 x 12 piggyback conversion. Those low-powered amps can crank with the right speaker complement. I bet that BJr of yours really roars.

Thanks. The speakers in mine are "M" and "H" Scumbacks (Big Mike Mix) from Southbay Ampworks.

@ CAFeathers,
That is one gorgeous build. I drool over it everytime you show it.

My "head" only concept was to seperate the amp from the equipment truck guys. I've got a cabinet at home, at the rehearsal hall & a few on the truck & I know the head isn't going to be "beat up" by anyone other than me!

Not to derail his post, but what did you go with for speakers?

Vin
