I just purchased a new DRRI in Electric Blue, which is apparently a limited edition color. It has a Celestion AlNiCo Blue 12" speaker inside. It sounds really great, even compared to a standard DRRI with the Jensen 12" in it. Does anyone else have one of these, and care to share what they think? I can't fnd any specifica information on my amp anywhere on the site, and am looking for antything further of interest about this amp.

This link states that it's an FSR limited to 100... I'm not sure of the validity of that, but that would sure be cool!

cool amp.

The Celestion AlNiCo blue is a lower-wattage speaker - 15-20 watts, so you should get great earlier breakup with it. It's an expensive speaker on its own, so I'd guess another $200 or so above the DRRI price.

I've seen a bright orange (literally, Orange Amps orange) Princeton Reverb Reissue in Sweetwater's catalog as a special issue, but there's nothing special about the amp besides the cosmetics. Not my cup of tea.

+1 Be careful with the Blue. It is a low wattage speaker. It's rated at 15 watts. 22 watts shouldn't hurt it, but It would still be in the back of my mind.

Sounds good guys! Thanks for the replies. I don't gig, so I don't crank it up all the way at this point. But I'll keep that in mind! Rock on y'all!

@ tbazzone, I got it at Hot Licks Guitars in Pearl City, HI. It was about $1400. I don't feel like I got a great deal on it, but it's sweet, and I'm happy with it!

I'm not really a blackface fan, but I think that other people sound great through them. That said, if money wasn't an issue I'd love to have that Blue DRRI... it would go great with my Chrome Blue Strat! With a blue guitar and a blue amp, I'd have to play the Blues, right?

I really like blue Tolex but didn't know this amp existed till 5 days ago. It's been out a year according to my internet research, with a total run of 100. I guess I'm happy I didn't know till now, because I got one on clearance for $950. It is scheduled for delivery on 5/3.

Hello, I have one of these amps for sale on ebay, great, beautiful but I need a twin reverb for a louder cleaner amp.

This is not the place to list stuff you're selling. don't you guys EVER read the rules of conduct. Your first post and you're trying to sell stuff here.

Welcome to the forum if you come back after your listing.

I just picked up one of the Fender Deluxe Electric Blue reissues myself! Most responsive, whiney, snappy amp I've ever played! Fan-effing-tastic. If you payed $1400.00 that's not bad; I payed $1600 CDN @ International Musicland in Ottawa Ontario. Got the same spiel; 1-100 made! I guess this makes me a one percenter hahaha. It was a fun day; me and the band won some cash in a competition and I was able to pick up one of these beauties, and a ruby red American strat... I think I hear angels...
