Hi guys, I'm experimenting some weird noises with the amp. For example I plug mi guitar into the amp and when I touch some metal parts of my guitar's edge there is a sound like if a light bulb gets burnt. I think is because Im grounding the amp with me, but I wanna avoid this. It only happens when Im at the clean channel? What should I do?

Hi there Pompeighu. Are you still having this problem? If so, what type of guitar, cable, and year of the amp? The noise is a "pop" or is it a "crackle" kind of sound ? Art

Yes, I still have it. Im using an Ibanez rg2570z prestige and dimarzio cables. The amp is from 2005. The sound is like a crackling sound.

Hi, as the subject says, is just a Fender Twin Amp not a Twin reverb Reissue. The sound lasts just when making contact between my arm with something metalic from the guitar or the cable. The clean channel sounds awesome but there is that annoying sound when Im not touching nothing and I make a contact. The sound doesnt last much, is just a sound like something is crackling.

Right, I understand, now, my bad. I'll take a look at the schematic and get back to you. I'm much more familiar with the older tube amps. Art

Pomp, I only see a couple of sources for the noise. First would be the ground circuit in the Ibanez. Have you tried another guitar ? Second would be V1b, the V1 tube is the only one used for the clean channel. But half of it(V1a) is used for both channels. Third would be the channel switch. Fourth would be static electricity discharged from the player. This last one may sound absurd, but it is a real possibility. I'd try a guitar swap, then the tube swap. Art

I tried with another guitar and the same happens. I was thinking maybe was the plug cause it has like 3 legs and the grounding leg is taken out so the plug has only 2 legs. Now you're telling me to try to change the tube, this is kinda of complicated I dont know maybe I should take it to the music store...

Hey Pomp, forget about the tube. I would try a regular guitar cable. Art
