Another one joins the dark side

That's a very smart purchase you've made! Many fellow forumites will bring their Blues Jr to the grave with them, myself included.

Hope it brings you many years of enjoyment :o

Congrats! I am sure you will love this amp. I have been really enjoying my new Blues Junior.

I wonder when they started shipping with the cage over the tubes? I had a bad tube right out of the box and when I called a source for help, they were scratching their head when I told them I couldn't put my finder through the cage to feel the tube to see if it was warm.

I just put a set of JJs in mine and it was a huge improvement in the tone. The stock GTs are now sitting in backup mode.

I bought mine back in January and it doesn't have the cage.

Great amp. Love it!

Congratulations on your new purchase. It looks great. There is nothing like treating yourself, and it sure is a nice feeling opening up the box and being the first person to play the amp. Enjoy!

Didn't know they added a grill on the back. I can dig it. Congrats.

Funny...

Played one a coupla weeks ago, what a great little amp, plugged in my 56 NOS CS. It was like long lost brother and sister reuniting.
I'm looking forward to picking one up soon.
It really brought out the tonality of the 56 pick-ups in a completely different spectrum than my black-n-tan Hot Rod Deluxe.
