Hi all,

Wondering if someone could help me with an issue I'm having with the second drive channel on my fender hot rod deluxe. Its an old (early 90's) US model that sounds particularly sweet, but the "more drive" mode has suddenly vanished into thin air.

When I hit the "more drive" button on the front panel or on the footswitch, the red light doesn't come on and it automatically switiches back to the clean channel.

Any help/ ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Art may know something about this, but, I know the 5 watt power resistors are notorious for causing all kinds of problems including channel switching problems. I can't remember if there is some sort of switching relay in there also. When you switch it from the panel is the footswitch unplugged?

Can you change channels with the footswitch unplugged? It could be the footswitch or the cable.I do know they have had trouble with the older ones with the channel switching relay too,but I would check the obvious first.
