Gday all
When trying to use a distortion pedal either therough the effects loop or directly....i keep having squealing/screeching feedback issues.
Any suggestions????
I love this amp but not being able to use a pedal safely is causing me great issues

J

First of all dont use your effects loop with a distortion pedal. Only use pedals
that modulate like chorus, phaser, flanger or delay's.
I have the same amp and have no problems with feedback.
Are you playing a guitar with single coils ?
single coils can tend to be noisy compared to humbuckers.
A good quality cable can make a huge diffrence too.
I suggest you try a friends amp just to make sure its not the pedal !

Hope that helps brother :) Mike

Thanks for that Mike
I've had the same issue whether using the feects loop or using directly inline unfortunately.
I've also tried it with active and passive humbuckers with the same problem which is annoying (-:
The pedal seems to work fine on other amps so i'm getting a bit despondant as i really love this amp.

I had feed back when I ran my DS1 through the loop but not inline so I just run it inline.

Why not run distortion pedals through the loop?

I've found the only success i'm having is if i turn the reverb right down on the amp.....that seems to be where most of the issue is

Thanks for that....that's where my thoughts have been going
