As nice as they are, I doubt if you'll get anything Santana-like out of it unless of course you're Carlos Santana.

I don't have a Blues Deluxe, but I do have a HRDx. I'm not crazy about the BB+ with the Hot Rod- it's too muddy sounding even with a Vintage 30. I've got a Digitech Hardwire CM-2 and SC-2 that sound great with the HRDx, because they're a brighter sounding pedal and have great bass and treble controls. You might give them a try, they're built like tanks, are true bypass and sound really good.

Tried it and it was nice, but didn't knock anything off my pedalboard.

But, drive pedals and fuzz are very subjective - if you have a 30 day money back guarantee/return policy, then try it. Better yet, find a dealer with it who carries Fender amps and try it out with your amp - or just bring yours in and try.

Santana is usually associated with Mesa and PRS not Fender gear.
Like nedorama said, try it and if it's not what you're looking for, return it. I've heard some decent Satana like tones with Gibson guitars with humbuckers or P90's but not so much with Fender gear. It's a tough tone you're trying to replicate. I've never really cared about trying to get someone else's tone. I generally have own. I've never had a complaint. You don't have to sound like someone to play their music. Years ago Santana supposedly was using a EH Big Muff Pi. I'm not sure how true it is because they claimed Hendrix used them too. Good luck on your tone quest.

Actually, I'm not a big fan of Santana's current tone- he's using the "Holy Grail"- Dumble. It sounds dark and muddy to me. I loved his early tones with the Princeton "Boogie" and his PRS- Mesa tones.

I haven't been a huge fan for years and years. I think he dropped way too much acid. His interviews are painful.
