I tried plugging my Line6 POD x3 live directly into the power amp in and it sounds perfect. Am I messing up my HRD?
In other words: Guitar>POD> HRD PowerAmp In.

Now, I do understand I am bypassing the poweramp tubes and the volume and master are also bypassed therefore loosing that power kick from the AX7's. Only the Reverb and the Presence work. Are the power amp tubes working? and At what capacity?

Sorry for all the questions, anyone... anyone

you're doing nothing that can hurt your amp or gear. and if you like the sound, even better.

By doing this, you're bypassing your preamp tubes and tone controls, but you are using the power tubes - they're not being bypassed, and they're working at whatever volume you have the amp at.

You can also use your POD with your HRD 2 other ways - the way you're using it is fine, but you may want to try these.

Guitar ->POD -> HRD input - lets you then have different settings.

Guitar ->HRD Input
HRD Preamp Out -> POD input
POD Input -> Power Amp In

This way you're using it more like an effects device - it's explained on page 6 of your manual (here if you don't have it http://support.fender.com/manuals/manua ... Deluxe.pdf) Note that you'd have to change your presets possibly as you'd be effecting the preamp signal, not replacing it.

Have fun!
