Is it normal that the voicings 4, 5, 6 and 15 has a distinct volume difference that the rest of the voices? I have to turn up both the gain and volume a lot to achieve the same overall volume as the rest of the voices.
I do love this amp. So many different tones available.

Some of these settings are like that. After playing around with it for a while you will find the happy medium.

I have a vibro champ xd and noticed it too but I kind of related it to swithcing between the selectors on your guitar, the cleaner the sound the louder it feels and if your in that classic tweed sound you might be getting some of that. I just got my champ about a week ago so I'm still playing with it but I definitely like it better than the fender FM65 dsp. It has a lot less static or hum. How long have you had your super? What kind of music are you playing?

I've heard others mention the volume differences between settings. I don't believe it to be a big deal, as AirborneStrat says, you will be able to compensate for that the more you play around and become familiar with the settings. As it is with any new piece of gear.

Hi guys! I have a question. I'm going to buy a super champ xd. I would use it, maybe lined out in live situations, but my problem's that I'd like to use some pedals in front of it, mainly modulation kinda stuff, delay reverb etc. but it has no Fx loop in, as far as I know, and Im pretty worried. What do you think? Will itt work with other fx pedals, or forget it to use this baby on stage or in the garage?

I don't know. Give it a shot, it couldn't hurt to try. I don't really see the lack of a FX loop to be a big deal. I haven't heard anyone complain about how pedals work with the SCXD.
I personally haven't yet used it "live", so I can't tell properly, but my Boss BD-2 pedal seems to work fine with it.

I've used pedals with mine and it works well. Flanger, delay, distoration, etc...

Just a comment, I find the reverb, especially the spring effect to be excellent for a digital effect. I sound really close to true spring reverb.

My Vibro-Champ XD is the same when changing between voicings, some are louder than others.

One thing I really like with this amp (Vibro Champ XD) is the clean Blackface voicing (4), it really sounds great, pretty hard to tell it's not a full-on valve amp actually.

If I crank that Clean Blackface voicing up to about 7 onwards it has a real nice "on the edge of breakup" sound, smooth as, and very nice.

Cheers,

Snowy.

Yes, same here. My Vibro Champ XD sounds really nice on Voice 4 with reverb set to 2 or 3.

I too, really like Voice 4.
The music I'm playing now is mostly classic country and that setting really gives me that good twang.
I've played out with this amp and for smaller venues, it does just fine.
And the fact it doesn't weigh a ton is a BIG plus.
Haven't run it through an aux. speaker or into another amp yet. Gonna try that soon.

Voice #4 is identical to Channel 1, except you can control the amount of gain.

I don't feel that Voice 4 is the same as channel 1, gtrman100. I do, however, feel that Voice 1 IS the same as channel 1 with the ability to alter the gain. Both Voices are great!
I am still discovering many, many different and wonderful sounds this little amp will produce.

Not to be disagreeable, but if you look in the manual, voice 1 is based on a Fender Tweed amp and voice 4 is based on classic Fender clean, which is what Channel 1 is based on. I agree both voices sound great.
