Hola. I have the amp, no footswitch. Seems to me(?) the newer Reissue uses a 2 button switch...and I see hints that the older (mine) one uses a 1 button switch.

Does anyone out here know for sure?...thanks in advance, Bear

Some years back when I was in the market to buy a Blues Deluxe Reissue, I found the same references you are quoting. At one point in time the footswitch was 1 button, and the later reissues (like mine) are 2 button. I don't know where the change took place.

If I were you, I would contact Fender support with the serial number of your amp and ask them for the P/N of the proper footswitch. That's your best chance for getting it right.

you could probably find one on ebay, but I bet any one button switch would work.

I wouldn't count on that. All Fender 2 button footswitches are not interchangeable- that I am sure of. When the SCXD first came on the market, few footswitches were available. People were trying various other P/N footswitches and most wouldn't work.

The Fender design uses a unique design for switching back at the amp. It is more than just making up a contact in the footswitch. Actually it uses different voltages by employing diodes. Fender says it was designed this way so that any instrument or speaker cable (with a single pair) could be substituted if necessary. At least this is the case for 2 button switches and that's why I wouldn't jump to any conclusions on the one button switch. May work and may not.
