Hi all, just something I was wondering is it OK to run the Line Out from the back of the Vibro Champ via a guitar cable into the input of a larger amp.

Has anyone tried it?

I'd like to try some of the sounds from the Champ through a bigger amp and just wanted to make sure this was OK to do.

Cheers,

Snowy.

I think you'd be better plugging the speakers from a bigger cab into the Speaker out jack, but that's me. No harm in using the line out to go to another amp, but beware you'll have to play with levels.

I'm going to try this on the weekend. I'm thinking I might even run the cable from the Line Out of the Vibro Champ into my Fulltone Fat Boost pedal and then into the input of the bigger amp. that should allow me to adjust levels as required and also serve to put some "fat" around the digital signal.

I'm guessing it'll be just like running through some pedals before hitting the main amp and I'm quite curious as to how some of the drives and sounds like the Vibrotone come out.

Cheers,

Snowy.

Line out to a PA only. It will sound terrible into the front end of a bigger guitar amp. Though you can connect the line out of the vibrochamp to the effects return of a larger guitar amp. I've done it, it works ok.

Dont put any pedals inbetween two amps, thats just silly.

The vibrochamp isnt a quiet amp, I recently bought a Hayden Peacemaker 4x12 cab that goes down to 4 ohms. I plugged the vibrochamp into it, to check it out. The head I intended it for was at the rehearsall room when it arrived and well, you just have to try something out the minute it lands dont you. A very nice level of volume was attained, your never going to gig it but it did become a good deal bigger.

Currently designing a 2x12 combo enclosure for my vibrochamp

OK, thanks mate I'll take your advice on that. Got to admit the curiosity had me going on how it would sound into a bigger amp like a Pro Reverb with 2 x 12's.

The amp I do gig with is a Custom Shop Blues Junior in a Bubinga cabinet which resonates beautifully and I love the sound of, so I think I'll just stick to what I know works.

Cheers,

Snowy
