A lotta people talk the old red knob princeton chorus solid state amp down....but I gotta tell ya, it is a great amp for clean tones and has the older bo** chorus pedal circuit for some really nice mellow chorus effects built in. It also handles other pedals quite well and is a no brainer for toting around to practices as it has no tubes to worry with, so the next time you are in need of a good clean sounding amp, a no issue or minimal problem amp or even a backup or reliable practice amp, give these a look, usually cheap and you will be glad you did.

I have a Red Knob Princeton Chorus SS and I really like this amp. I bought it new back in 1990 and it is still going strong. I am even thinking of using this amp at band rehersal. For now I use it as my home practice amp and I agree 100% with your evaluation of the amp. Great clean tones and takes pedals very well. The built in chorus is pretty good. The reverb isn't that great though and best if left with just a touch used.

I had one for about 15 years. Great amp. The only thing I didn't like was it weighed a ton! Ended up putting castors on it.
