thanks for the information!

so you'd recommend the 9EB2C1B over a 4EB3C1B, 4EB2C1B, or a 8EB2C1B? i liked the original 4EB3C1B, but i rarely turned it past halfway and i've not experimented with much else. i'm looking for a good 60s garage rock reverb.

I know this is a old thread.
I will receive a Hot Rod Deluxe to fix a non working reverb .

Few months ago reverb was intermittent. Work fine in my shop. I clean all RCA plug an jack and return to the customer and work fine for few months.

Now nothing. I'll look at the amp thursday and I'll try a reverb tank I have in stock ; 4AB3C1B

I read at "tubesandmore", the Accutronic 9EB2C1B is the right replacement for HRD.

It is not a improvement for the 4EB...or 8EB.....It is the only one to buy.

I'm sure you already know this but as long as you get the right length and the two impedance numbers are in the ballpark you can vary the other parameters like number of springs and decay time.

I would opt for 6 springs and a medium (or long) decay if it were mine.
6 just sounds better than 2 or 3.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

You are right I know.

I receive the amp, reverb is very very weak. New tank 4AB3C1B did not work.

Original tank in the amp is a Accutronics / Belton model 50394 , date 2012.04,05 . A Fender par number IMO

Few tests later, I put a new cable. Reverb work.
