I know I said most of this on another post, but I felt the need to make this its own post. I have posted a bunch of stuff on this forum as I have gone through the process of modding my HRDLx, and thanks for all of the great advice! Really, this forum has been a great source of information! The end result is that I have a HRDLx that I have made the following modifications to:

Omega Amps Mod with mid-boost (Thanks Jim!!!)
Emminence Cannibas Rex speaker (Great speaker!)
JJ 6V6 power tubes
JJ 12AX7 preamp tubes with a high gain in V2

I have to say, I have about $600.00 in this amp, and I will put it up against just about any production amp out there. It's not a Dumble, Van Weelden, Fuchs, Dr. Z, etc... but it's awfully good The clean channel is great, and the OD is a fantastic crunchy OD in the vein of Gibbons, Young, Paige, etc... when I play my LP. It's really great for classic rock and I can dial the gain back and get some great blues tones as well. The 6V6 tubes were really the icing on the cake. They made a big improvment in the OD compared to the 6L6 tubes. They are just more compressed, articulate, and tapered the high frequency a bit.

One interesting thing of note for anyone considering the Omega Amps mod, the mid-boost really adds versatility. The clean channel pretty much remains Fender black faceish, but with the mid-boost on it warms up the tone and puts out an almost tweed bassman sound. With the mid-boost on you can really nail that Free Ride and Sweet Home Alabamma spank. I like to use the mid-boost on the OD channel as well to fatten up the tone. With the mod, the amp can be a little bright, but that's nothing that can't be fixed by dialing back the treble and presence controls a bit.

I highly reccomend the mod, and Jim is a great guy to work with! If your looking to buy new, I would reccomend something other than a HRDlx, but if you are like me and already have one that you picked up cheap this is a great option. I'm not saying better can't be had, it's just going to cost a lot more.
