Hey all,
I gig out with a 4x10 AND 2x12 a Deville combo. Odd setup is due to me owning the 4x10 and our bass player has the 2x12. I own a '68 Bandmaster and a '72 Bassman, don't want to take them out.

ANYWAY, I'm interested in added a 4x12 cab to the setup and leaving the 2x12 at the space. With that 4x10 Deville, what's the best way to add an extension cabinet? What cab would you recommend? We're playing Dinosaur Jr-esque rock, I use a ton of effects, need versatility in tone.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Put your Deville on top of this:

http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=2317800000

or this:

Google "4X12 cabinets" and you'll get thousands of hits.

no amp required? I've never played with combos before, didn't' know I could just plug in.

Thank you.

Yeah Dino, with your 4X10 internal speakers plugged into the main jack, you can plug any 8ohm speaker cab into the extension jack. Those two cabs together should sound "Dinomite!" Sorry, I couldn't resist. If you don't have a manual for your amp, you can look it up here, on this site. It gives a very good diagram of the speaker possibilities for your amp. Art

Get a decent cable though. Don't just use an instrument cable. It needs to be able to carry some power.
