I've got a 10-watt orange amp, and I love the overdrive on it. It's key to the sound of my favorite band and it just gets a really cool tone. But I was wondering if I could maybe run it through my FM 65:

Strat -> orange input -> orange headphone -> FM input

I've heard that it works, I've also heard that it will blow the amp. Any knowledge?

I don't know Orange amps at all but when daisy chaining amps it is usually preferable to use the FX loop send jack (if you have one) instead of a headphone jack. The phone jack may be a bit hot although there may be some way to install an inline pad to reduce the gain. Might be better off just using an A/B/Y stomp box and splitting your guitar signal evenly into each amp separately.

Or better yet, does anyone know of a pedal that has an orange-ish overdrive sound?

which orange amp? Tiny Terror? Crush Pix? Let us know.

If it's a tube amp, you need to have a speaker resistive load connected or you'll blow a transformer and seriously damage your amp. Since you mention a headphone out, I'm guessing it's either solid-state or a hybrid with a SS power section.

Why are you looking to run the Orange through your FM65 and what are you looking to gain? Understanding your gear and goals will make it easier for people to suggest things.

It's a Crush 10.

I was actually just wondering what the orange overdrive might sound like over my 65, which seems to make everything better. But it's nothing more than curiosity. I do however think the pedal would be awesome and I would definitely buy it. If anyone knows about it.

I think his point is to use the Orange as a Preamp because he likes the sound of the Orange but wants it to be louder. I agree that the headphone jack may be a little to hot for the input of the FM 65. Does it have a line out? My best bet would be an in line DB pad from the headphones to the input of the FM65.

I wish it had a line out. It's just a basic practice amp - guitar in, headphones out.

Some store-bought D.I. boxes have a pad button as well as ¼" jacks on both ends. You could prolly make your own as well. There are always schematics all over the net.
