for making such awesome amps. I bought a Frontman 65R a few months ago, and it's been a great amp. It sounds awesome, easy to use, pretty portable, etc. But on Friday I came back home from college, and when I opened the car door to get it out, it came tumbling out onto the blacktop (it turns out I had put it too close to the door - won't be doing that again). I plugged it in and heard the most ungodly howling ever sounded upon this earth. I thought my baby was dead.

But today I took it to an amp repair shop, and the guy plugged it right in and started jamming - turns out the wailing was from a ruined socket from a lightning strike a few years back. My Frontman still works like a charm, and I just wanted to thank Fender for building such rugged equipment!

The first major accidental "bruise" to a new piece of gear always hurts the most. After that, the dings and scuffs are easier to bear. Eventually all of the battle scars just make them more "yours." My first acoustic has been beat to death, but when I pull it out and see all of its scars I'm reminded of all the things it's been though.

Glad to hear that your amp is ok. Jam on.

You know what Brian, that's a great point and testimonial. Over the years Fender has provided us with the ability to make music. As musicians we use and abuse the guitars, basses, and amps, but for the most part they just keep on working for us. Cool man!!! Art

congrats on the amp, and yes, Fender does make some good stuff that's durable.

The first scuff is the hardest...
