I'd like to purchase a vibro champ for practice. Does it hold it's own as a band member? Any thoughts/stories would be appreciated.

what kind of band and music? with PA or without?

a SF Vibrochamp or BF is a great recording amp and practice amp; it might work with a jazz band, but for rock it won't keep up. One of our bandmembers had a SF Champ and it just couldn't keep up with bass, drums and vocals.
