hey guys my name is alex and i'm new to this forum. i'm in need of help and hope you guys can guide me on how to replace the drive knob on my amp. i bought it used at L&M music store and the drive knob was broken off, all that was left was the screws, etc. I'm on a budget and cannot afford to pay someone to do it for me so i'm wondering if anyone can send me directions or a video referral on how to replace knobs. cheers

Is it just the knob or is the pot's shaft broken off?
Usually knobs just pull off a splined pot shaft or they have a set screw that holds it on the shaft.

Oh man !! I'm afraid the pot needs to be replaced. The biggest hassle is gaining access to it. The pot may or may not be soldered to the front board. Some of the newer pots are "snap-in" units. I guess that I can't advise you to try this project without help. Maybe someone here can be of more help. Welcome to the forum, but sorry about that nasty problem. Art

Yeah man Arts right as usual. Sometimes pot shafts get sheared off on door jambs. Ouch. You may need to bring it to a tech.
