This happened to me once... but I was using about 6 stomp boxes between my guitar and amp...

after playing around with the patch leads between the stomp boxes it returned to normal.

Are you using stomp boxes? If not try another lead.

Sounds like a lead (if unplugging and replugging seems to fix it) or else look at the jack on the guitar. The nut holding it in could have worked loose.

I had a similar thing with my Tele and noticed the jack nut had worked loose (after only a couple of months). After I tightened the nut, no more probs.

Hope this helps.

Could be a bad cord or a loose jack.

Are you playing it really loud? Is it getting VERY hot? Almost sounds like something needs a bit of time to "cool down" before it wants to play again.

I'd just take it back to the dealer. Let them swap it over or sort it out.

Take it to an amp shop and describe the problem. They can leave it on the bench turned on with a sound source (CD player, etc.) and try to replicate the problem.

If it's a new amp, take it back to the dealer.

I had this happen to my brand new blues deluxe. I returned it and got a twin reverb.. I would take it in and have it fixed or it will drive you crazy..

I feel bad for you.. I know nothing about amps,, tube, bias, powersupply. I would take it in to someone you trust and have it fixed... I was within the 30 days when my blues deluxe did this on day 28... If my new twin reverb does this I will be putting it in the woodburner.... I think alot happens in shipping that can cause stuff like this but what do I know. Hope all is well soon....cheers

This is the reason I got rid of my Blues Jr. When it happens tap on top of the amp. I think it has to do with the reverb.
