Pro Junior, every day of the week. It has a far better base sound to my ear. Dunno if its the 10" speaker, the lack of seperate eq controls or the lack of reverb. It just appeals to me a lot more.

I used an old Blues Jr (USA) once and a week a go, my friend used his Pro jr with almost the same set up I had in the same club. We both used Tele's. I think the new Pro jr sounded way better. I wonder what the new Blues jr sounds like. I have heard that Fender has made improvements on the new line.

On Monday I tried out a Jimmy Vaughn Strat on a Limited Edition Blues Jr. and I was that blown over by the sound they created that I bought the amp too even though I had intended to buy a guitar only. The Blues Jr. has replaced my Vox Pathfinder 15 R as my living room amp as the sound is just sublime,it's not very often that an amp impresses me so quickly as I have a few superb amps already but I just couldn't pass by this little gem, it's truly exquisite.

I demo'd both of them side by side about 6 years ago. I bought the Pro Jr. I have two of them now.

It's mic'd

I usually use both via stereo outs. The tweed is MIA and the other is MIM and both sound great...and LOUD...I don't need to mic them in clubs and use a larger amp in bigger venues.

+1
It wouldn't break my heart if FMIC scrapped the entire HR/JR series.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

They would actually be doing everyone a favor by keeping their amps at a professional quality level in both tone and reliability. Like I said, I stopped buying Fender amps until they start making a better quality product from their low end to their high end amps.

The Champs amps were nothing more than practice amps and were built with the same quality as their professional counterparts. My Champ is 36 years old and has never failed me. My HRDlx didn't last 6 months before the problems started, my GDec was the same way. IMHO they are not good amps for the money when so many have problems. Even my old Pignose is from 1972 and still works great.

I'm still glad you're happy with your amp. What's important is that you like it, not that I don't.
