I picked up a '64 Vibroverb Custom a few weeks ago and there is a button on each side which I can only assume is for a strap to help when carrying the heavy thing. Is that what they are?

They're bigger than the strap buttons on a Strat, are there special amp straps?

Stops for tilt back legs?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

They are the "stops" for tilt back legs that were probably taken off. You should also see 2 small holes, one on each side in the Tolex.

Angela, Vibroworld, etc. all sell replacement tiltback legs. I bought a pair for my Bandmaster combo and it's great - tilt it back and I can hear it great, but it doesn't blast the front crowd. Also reduces a bit of the open back cab sound loss for live use.

Oh that's what they are, makes sense. The tilt back legs are still on I've just never used them.
