Hello everyone!

Ok, about a 5 year old Hot Rod DeVille 410...stock tubes. 2 6L6 and 3 12ax7.

Anyway any suggestions for tube replacement? Am thinking of replacing all 5. I would really like to drop them in myself with no biasing or adjusting. Some people say you should have it professionally done. I'm not so sure it's that hard. Would like some opinions about whether I can do it myself and what sort of tubes kick arse.

I like really warm, thick tone...easy on treble and mid. I also play overdrive primarily. I am happy with the sound now, but the tubes are getting old...and I'm curious about new sounds.

with preamp tubes i would go with tungsols, and the output tubes i would put jj's, you have to bias the outputs not really that hard, the show you how to bias an amp and sell the parts at eurotubes
