I recently bought a marshall mg100hdfx headstock. I plan to get a cab for it but i don't have enough money right now. I have had little experience with half stacks so i was wondering if it would be possible to hook up my marshall head to my frontman and just use that as a cab for the time being until i have enough money to get a separate cab

Hi Jeff and welcome to the forum. If the Marshall has a 4ohm out put jack or impedance switch for the speakers, then yes it is possible. Actually, with a little work you could change the Fender speakers to a 16ohm load. The biggest problem that I can see, is that the Frontman does not have a speaker cable with a 1/4" plug to the amp. Is this the case? I could not find any scematic for your amp. Also could you tell me if the speaker wires are soldered to the speaker terminals or does it have removable fittings? Art

Jeff are you handy with a soldering iron? If you just want to use the FM's speakers, it would take some work. Art

You're welcome Jeff. I know it's hard to be patient with a new amp sittin' there, but you made the right decision. Art
