I received my Frontman Saturday and am really feeling good about the purchase. Has a great sound with my Fender deluxe strat, specially the clean channel. Only thing is the clean channel volume seems to be dependent on the treble mid and bass controls. At first I got no sound other than hiss even when i bumped it to 10. Then after turning up the volume AND tone knobs I got sound. The drive channel doesn't work that way so i'm guessing this isnt the way its supposed to work. Anyone else have this issue?

hmmm that doesn't sound right, my FM 212R's clean channel works just fine. I think you may have to return your amp :(

i know some amps do this. ive seen marshalls that have no sound come out if the EQ is at 0. although, i dont think the FM is designed that way, so maybe something is wrong. i'm just saying i'd hesitate to rule it out as a problem because ive seen this happen.

Both my Frontman 212R and my Stage 150 DSP act like this. I had figured that is you did not select any of these ranges you would get no sound. I figured that the amp was designed only reproduce what was selected. Select 0 bass, 0 treble and 0 mid that that is exactly what you would get. "0".

Now, on my drive channel I get sound from it with all set to "0". But I do have to turn up the "drive" knob or I get nothing. This is on my Stage 160 DSP. And I just checked the 212 R and it acts just the same as the Stage 169 DSP on drive.
