WHAT KIND OF SETTING WOULD YOU ADVISE ME TO GET A GOOD SOUND WITH MY ELECTRO ACOUSTIC ON THE BLUES DELUXE REISSUE,?

Electro Acoustic?

I can't recommend settings on that amp for you. Actually, thru any std guitar amp your electro acoustic is always going to be short changed. You need a full range amplification system to get the best out of one of those. I know it might be a luxury, but any reasonably priced acoustic gtr combo is going to outperform an amp designed for solid body electric guitars.

Sorry..

Whilst I agree with adey, it is possible to get a reasonable acoustic sound from the Blues Deluxe. For me personally I had to turn everything down or it fedback like a b*****d. I think that you need to accept a lot of compromise to use it for acoustic, and if it is for personal practice that is fine, but just too warm (why we love them, after all) for serious acoustic use.

Depends on your music stuation I guess, but a lot of people overlook plugging an electro acoustic directly into a band PA. Keyboard combos can be good for the job too.

Solid state is the way to go for electro acoustics IMHO. That which we love about Valve amps for our solid body instruments - constrained frequency range drivers, harmonic valve distortion, extra warmth etc - works against us for our acoustic sound.

Clarity and a full frequency range is the way to go.

Thanks for all your advice but I find out my electro proved quite good sounding on the blues deluxe through my BOSS ME 50 and what's more with a little chorus and even some delay
sure you have to try several settings onthe guitar itself but I find it quite acceptable for gigs
I find the ME50 really adapted to tame and moderate the loudness of the deluxe even with my goldtop thanks to the volume pedal that's why I don't understand why people complain about the loudness at 3 since I play at 4 with a reasonnable volume
of course you must also use you guitar volume knob

Hi Volodia, seems like you are finding ways to use the acoustic with the amp. The main problem with using the electric guitar amp is the input impedance. The piezoelectric pickup has a very high impedance at low frequencies(nearly 100Mohms) and a low impedance at the higher frequencies(nearly 0 ohms). This is quite a bit higher than the single coil or humbucking pickups range. Most tube electric guitar amps use a 1Mohm grid leak resistor on the input jack, which presents a very small load on the signal. This would need to be more like 10M-12M ohms to accomodate the piezo pickup. You could have the amp modified for using both types of guitars, but I'm not sure that would be worth it on this amp. I'm not familiar with the outboard devices available for this application , but that's probably your best alternative. Art

Thanks a lot aclempopi for your technical explanations and I found the sound accepatable witn my cort
Nevertheless, don't want to get my blues deluxe modified
But I'd like to know if a long use of an electro acoustic could damage the blues deluxe for it 's not really devoted to electro?

Using the electro acoustic with the Blues Deluxe, won't hurt the amp at all. Art

If it's an acoustic guitar with a pickup jack you can plug into, you can get an OK sound out of a guitar amp.

However, you may find that if you play in a band, a DI box will let you play that acoustic through the PA and have it much fuller sounding - an acoustic guitar, whether it's electro or not, can reproduce a much broader spectrum of lows and highs than a 12" guitar speaker can make - kind of like comparing FM to AM radio.

Buy the best DI box you can get - I use the Radial JDI and it's worth every penny. Makes acoustics sound amazing, basses come to life, and keyboards as well. The DI is a piece of gear where you get what you pay for - do not waste your money on cheap Hosa, ART or B@#$@ger boxes - they don't sound nearly as good. With the Radial, you're paying for build quality and the sound of the Jensen transformer. I know as when I started, I bought a Whirlwind IMP for $50 - it's cheap and works, but when I got the JDI, it sounds a heck of a lot better.

With a DI, you can also have the best of both worlds, as it has a passthrough jack - plug into one jack, plug another cable into your amp to use as a monitor while the audience hears the guitar through the PA.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
