Don't think so. Could be wrong. Wait a minute, a single channel Twin amp sounds all together wrong. The only other twin I know that has one channel is a broken one. HAHA HEHE.Sorry man. Just haveing fun. Don't think so. Anyone know this one?

No, I think all twins have a Normal Channel and either a Bright or Vibrato channel. Not positive, but I could not find any one channel twins in my brief research.

Its quite possible I didn't ask my question right - I'm sorry! What I was wondering is this: I love the sound of the 2nd channel of a Twin Reverb, and I wondered if there is a fender amp that is just one channel only, and when you plug into it, you get that rich commanding sound that is so "twin reverb".

In other words, I always just assumed that each fender amp had a unique sound. A twin wouldn't sound just like a Deluxe Reverb, or a Super Reverb,
for example (using the same guitar, of course.)

Is there a Fender amp with just one channel, that for all intents and purposes sounds just like the Twin?

Nope. The Twin gets its headroom and spanky tones from its power, tone stack etc.. The less power you have the less apparent clean headroom you'll have just because you can turn the amp up and not go deaf. Then natural distortion comes in. A Twin is a Twin I've never heard a cleaner amp. I've had mine for over 30 years. It pretty much stays home now because it too powerful and heavy for the smaller venues I play now.

+1
coreysan - if you want Twin Reverb tone and power....then get a Twin Reverb. Vintage blackface Twin Reverbs are expensive so if you're on a budget get a reissue, or silverface Twin Reverbs are a pretty good deal. I see silverface ones on craigslist a lot for $600 - $800. Twins don't seem to be as popular as medium sized vintage fender amps, due to their hefty weight and deafening volume.

No one is forcing you to use the normal channel. Just plug in the vibrato channel and wail away :D

p.s. If you come across a Twin Reverb with red control knobs, it will NOT be the same a regular Twin Reverb that you're looking for. Same goes for the single input "Twin Amp" from the late 90's early 00's, NOT a real Twin Reverb even though it will be tempting to you because it appears to be a Twin Reverb with only one channel.
