Hey all - looking for more advice - I've picked up a power amp to use with an old 4x12 cab I have at home - I want to run a line out from my Stage160 to the power amp.

Will this work?
Will it sound awful?
Or will it blow some (or all) of my gear to hell?

The power amp is a Rocktron Velocity 100 - 40w@8ohms
The 4x12 is a Simms-Watts (4x 50w speakers, runs at 8ohms)
The Stage160 is 160 watts, but I presume the line out will be at line level, so wattage won't matter?

The inputs to the poweramp are 1/4" jacks, the lineout from the Stage is a female XLR.

Anone give me some advice on this? I want a powerful giging rig, but I don't wanna give up my solid-state Fender sound.

Yeah simian, that will work fine. All you'll need is the hi impedance to low impedance(1/4" to XLR) adapter. If the set up hums, you will need to address a possible ground loop problem. But try it first and see how it sounds. Art
