Hi Guys,

I would love it if fender brought out a new Fender Champion 600 5W (as 15W is way too much for a room when you have neighbours) that has a reverb control. All amps seem to be geared toward stage use and there seems to be very little in the way of tube amps for the bedroom guitarist. I love the fender clean channel so would like the amp just for that, i dont want any amp voices..just the classic fender clean with reverb...oh and a 10-12 inch speaker too oh and it will take pedals very well....its not asking too much is it?? lol!

PLEASE!!!!

Ta. :D

Then it wouldn't be a 600. I would just use the ner Boss Fender Reverb pedal. The problem would be fitting a reverb tank in that small cabinet. It would require a bigger cabinet, more circuitry and a higher price tag. With a great amp, I never miss the reverb. My Bandmaster didn't have it and my 74 Champ and my Egnater don't have it. I really don't miss it and just rely on the natural room reverb.

Yeah i know it wouldnt be a 600...but maybe a new amp, a bigger enclosure would be great and a 12" speaker would be perfect (Laneys Lionheart). I personally think reverb is a must whether it be pedal or built in on the amp, I think amps can sound very dry without it.

I love the classic Blackface sound, but there is no amp on the market that has just a clean channel (and nothing comes close to the Fender clean). I do like the Superchamp but it has voices i would never use and is 10w too loud for my use.

So ok how about a new amp bigger enclosure, 5w 12" speaker, one channel, reverb, maybe chorus and tremolo too? price wise well i would be prepared to pay good money for all of that.Maybe around $850 :?

Would be nice, but can't see it happening. T=/you're too close to:

- an original Champ or Vibro Champ, has the watts you want but no reverb.
- a Princeton Reverb, which has 12 instead of 5 watts but has reverb.

don't think Fender will add one in the middle now, with all of the other amps at the low end XD, G-DEC, etc.

You could look at this. I really like mine. 5 watts, 8" driver, reverb and more.

VT, how long have you had your Bugera? There is a used one at a local GC and I am seriously interested in it, but was wondering about their reliability.

Thanks,
Jim

About a month so I cannot speak to their longevity. I snagged mine for $140 used so if it gives up the ghost I'll just do an upgrade. It's my bedroom amp but I'm finding I drag it out a lot and play on it quite a bit.
