I use Strats'Teles,SG and a Les Paul.I'm not a fan of pre amp distortion so I use only the normal channel on the Blues deluxe. The pre amp distortion on the drive channel sounds way too harsh, thin and ugly for most of my needs whereas the normal channel sounds a lot more musical with a wider range of harmonics.I like to crank it about halfway...6-7, to get that nice power tube overdrive happening....these amps already break up at around 4.I set the eq usually at: treble 5,mid 6 and bass 2.This cranked tone already has a lot of bass so I keep the bass low to avoid it farting out.It gives a nice type of Keith Richards tone.I don't use any reverb nor the bright switch or the presence control.I like a simple, rich, organic 50s type of overdrive tone.I usually place two gig bags in front and in back of the amp to partially muffle the volume so I don't blast my audience or my drummer and this works fine for the type of bars gigs I play.

don't have a les paul, but my Custom tele has a Duncan '59 in the neck and a JB in the rear - sort of a Tele Paul in homage to Pete Townshend's Schecter Saturn telecaster Pauls. So it definitely gets into Les Paul territory.

My Princeton Reverb is modded with a Deluxe output transformer, so it's a little louder than the average Princeton Reverb - love the clean sound.

Pedalboard wise: (same for the Princeton Reverb or my Bandmaster combo):
Duncan wah, modded by Keeley Electronics for true bypass and Fasel inductor
Boss TU2 Tuner
Keeley Compressor, 9:00, 12:00 settings - always on
Paul Cochrane Timmy pedal - always on
Barber Direct Drive overdrive pedal - mild crunch
Keeley Katana Booster - for solos

Loop A: Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer, modded by Keeley
Original Ibanez AD9 Delay (bought new in '84)

Loop B: MXR Phase 90, Ibanez SC10 Super Stereo Chorus, Boss DD6

Love the grind of the 6V6s with humbuckers, especially when pushed - it's intoxicating! Volume/tone all the way up, treble pickup, and volume, bass and treble all on 5, reverb on 3.
