You can do this in multiple ways... as long as you DO NOT connect a speaker output to anything other than a speaker.

A: A/B switch box from your guitar/pedalboard to the input of both amps. switches amps 1 at a time, or both at once. Each amp does not affect the other.

B: Y cable between guitar/pedalboard and the input of both amps. both amps on at same time, receiving same signal. Same as option A without switching ability.

C: preamp out of deville into input of performer. both amps run at same time, you're effectively using the deville to drive the performer.

D: preamp out of performer into input of deville. both amps run at same time, using performer to drive the deville.

E: preamp out of deville into power amp in of performer. uses deville to drive the amp of the performer, bypassing the performer preamp section (also known as slaving the perfomer to the deville)

F: preamp out of performer to power amp in of deville. uses performer preamp to drive the tube stage of the deville.

Personally... i'd go the A/B box route. Set the volume, gain and EQ on each amp differently. Then switch between each amp for different tones. This is effectively what eric johnson does, switching between a deluxe reverb for clean and a 50 watt marshall for dirty.
