I own a goldtop 57 reissue ad was playing on a HK dual el 84 but was

unsatisfied with the sound I got , very impersonal sound, and the goldtop

quintessence was rubbed , muffled, strangled ;actually I was looking for

something much better, a sound I 've always dreamt of for my childhood!

2 month ago I discovered JOE BONAMASSA and a particular son

called "The great flood" here it was!the sound I had always yearning for!

therefore I began trying amps in stores and discovered the twin amp

reissue which pleased me but seemed too loud and expensive, so I fell in

hesitation, it was far too loud to play in a small flat;

And the other day , at random , As I was testing amps in a store in

BERGERAC I discovered the BLUES DELUXE REISSUE and that was

MIRACLE the SOUND I was dreamin of, the quintessence of the GOLDTOP

57,the genuine old bluesy sound I liked;

Of course I bought it and tried it at home with a TS9,a BB2 and a ME50

EVERYTHING IS VERY GOOD indeed! and even with the gain channel at 3

I discovered the pleasure of playing with my fingers to get a true vintage

goldtop sound with a little delay it sounds crystal-clear and the ME50

doesn't eat the true sound, it helps creating a tolerable more definite tone

at low volumes thanks to the volume pedal and moreover I can benefit

from other interestng effects except the overdrives

I bought a Blues Deluxe RI last fall and I'm very happy with it. It's "warmer" than the desired Fender clean, but it's more versatile and cheaper than amps with it. The overdrive channel has "touch sensitive dynamics" and matches any OD I desire, from a little to a lot, with master volume. For more sounds, I use a Fulltone Full-Drive 2 Mosfet. I play a Les Paul, Hamer P-90, Strat, Tele, Mustang, etc. through it and couldn't be more pleased. Good luck with yours, and happy playing! G
