I have read sites and heard from people that there are audible differences between the old Fender Blues Jr. (US) and the new version (Mexico). Most saying that the Mexico's are far improved both in tone and the design of the reverb. While I know that better is subjective, the fact that there are audible differences are not (I guess).

My question now is : are there such differences between the old '93 Blues Deluxe and the new Mexico version. Is the new the new Mexico far improved too?

I know that the old Blues Deluxe has a 1 channel footswitch (drive) and the new one has a 2 channel switch (drive and reverb), I also know that the new version has an external speaker out option while the older version does not.

How about differences in:
1. Tone
2. The placement of the reverb, before or after the master volume
3. The tone of the reverb

Item #2 may or may not apply. I read this on a site that said the reverb placement on older blues jr was a design flaw, which the newer model fixed.

Since I own a '93 version, I became curious. Also, I am based in the Philippines and there are no new Blues Deluxe amps available for me to try here.

Thanks in advance!
