That shouldn't be a problem at all. I know that in my -very- early years as a musician I used to plug my guitar in to the Vibrato channel of my old Bandmaster and then I'd run a mic in to the normal channel as my early bands never seemed to have a PA system! LOL!!! I know an old buddy of mine used to do the same with his old '73 Twin as well. We also used to just run his guitar on one channel and my guitar on the other (both on his Twin and my Bandmaster)...stuff like that doesn't really hurt anything at all.

Twins and similarly designed amps are actually pretty hardy beasts to say the least. The single biggest issue that I'm really aware of is when you go to add extra speakers...that whole impedance thing. Of course whenever you replace the tubes, it's always a good idea to have them properly biased as well. Beyond that, these things were designed to be "working amps" and can usually take whatever you throw at them.

Just my $.02 worth,
Jim

'Definitely remember in misspent youth, two guitars and a bass going into a guy's Twin Reverb. The bass kind of rattled the speakers sometimes, but that was it.

I think you're safe but I would not push a bass too much through it at the same time. I tend to error on caution!

Welcome to the forum my friend!! :)

I have to agree with this 100%! Very simply, guitar speakers are not designed to handle such low frequencies. It could...as in the potential is certainly there...damage your speakers (or even the amp itself). In most cases as long as you don't push the volume too hard you'd probably be fine but as fhopkins said there, better to ere on the side of caution with this one. In other words, there's no problems with running multiple guitars or even vocals on an amp like this but if you need to run a bass, get a -bass amp-! Even new there's a lot of reasonably priced bass amps out there (personally I love the Ampeg BA-115...$350 new...wish I had one) and plenty of deals on used. Tubes vs. solid state isn't usually as much of a big deal as it is with guitar players...in fact most of the bass players I've ever known tend to prefer solid state bass amps for their tighter response. If you look around, you could probably find a decent "gig worthy" ss bass amp for around $200 (look for used Peaveys, Ampegs and GK's...all good and usually a decent price used).

Good words of caution there...

Peace,
Jim

It's not just the speakers, the output tranny won't like it either.

Ok...please forgive me for sounding or being stupid here but...what exactly is the "2 or 3 club"? Sounds like a sex thing but I'm not really sure...never was a swinger myself,. LOL!
