HI EVERYONE,, just pulled out an older dod envelope filter and bought a new 9 volt battery for it..[works fine} i think i bought this back in 97 its a dod fx25 envelope filter. made in utah usa,, i have read diff reviews on this pedal,, some like it some don;t{imagine that} its activated when u plug in a guitar,, like most pedals i have seen,, however there is a warm up time,, meaning you have to wait, maybe like 3-4 mins before it;ll work at all. only 2 knobs so its easy to use,, its apparently like an auto wha ,, and to me its,, very diff pedal,, and it seems like its going to take quite a bit,, to get used to how it works,,, the biggest thing is how it changes the timing of what your playing,, not a delay but like a whaaaaaaaaa at whatever you set it at,, either wha or whaaa or whaaaaa etc.. i could see where it;d be better for leads than chords,, on very select type of songs. ok just dropping in,, experimenting and taking notes,,, hope you have a wicked rock&roll type of day!!!!!!! D

I had an original Mutron III up until a few years ago. It was the funkiest pedal I ever owned. Stevie Wonder used one on "Higher Ground" and I think "Superstition" with his keyboard. I sort of regret selling it. I got big bucks for it and an original Murton Octave Divider. The Mutron III had the wah effect forwards, backward with high pass, low pass and band pass. It also allowed you to adjust the sweep. Very cool pedal. I still have a Mutron Micro V. Very simple auto wah. Enjoy your pedal.

I agree, those envelope filters are awesome when you want to funkify your music. Very cool effect pedal that'll definately kick your leads into high gear, and it'll work wonders when playin funk rythm. Enjoy and rock on.....
