Just got a Vibro Champ XD...loving it so far.

I'm totally new to anything tube...been playing for 15 years and went from SS pratice amps to digital/modeling in the 90s when Line6 first came out.

Love the tone on this little thing so far.

Any setting recommendations? I play a '62 reissue Strat and am looking for a nice blues rock tone a'la SRV (obviously) and John Mayer.

Thanks!

Congrats! I just got the Vibro last night and have been playin with it all day! I am a total beginner, so I don't know settings, but it sounded better than the Vox and Roland Cube. Let's hope some people chime in here. I have a Squier Strat and try to play blues,Funk and classic rock.

Try searching the forums for SCXD settings as there are quite a few threads on this and they should be similar. Congrats on your amp, I think you'll enjoy it.

This link is for the Super Champ XD, but the channel settings are the same for the VCXD.

man I was tempted to grab a Vibro Champ but in the end I gave in to the 600's retro looks. For 40 bucks more I hear the Vibro has better tone. I do like the 600 though, does exactly what I expected it to. And in near future, may have to mod it up.

What external speaker do you recommend for the VCXD? It says in the output jack 4ohms. Is it safe if i hook it with an 8 ohm external speaker or even more? :?:

:?: BTW how loud could the VCXD be? I usually crank up the volume of my 30w SS amp at 10 o'clock to 12 o'clock tops

Here's a list of settings I've compiled from the Fender product page and some of the users here:

Fender Super Champ XD Settings

Just ignore the top section if you using a Vibro Champ XD instead. 8)

That is the best organised list of settings I have seen yet. Great job!
