I'm thinking of buying a Frontman 25R and I just wondered how everyone else liked them.

Honestly for the 100$ i paid for it. it was definitely worth it.

for a cheap solid state, i can get some wicked tones out of it. and its reliable. I've done a few little gigs with it and its been great.

Are you looking for like a first amp kinda deal? like just starting out? or just a little practice amp.

either way. its great for the money, and I'd recommend it.

Way back in the 70's I played bass in a Grand Funk style band.
I've played off and on for years but I just want a good small amp to fool around with.
Thanks for the reply!

I have one and it performs well. You get that Fender tone and sound in a small package. Nice dirty channel and a good reverb. For the money it rocks.

I have one. The amp can be very loud but the speaker breaks up and sounds awful at high volumes. I wouldn't use it for gigging. It has a crisp clean sound for practicing. The reverb is very subtle...you won't sound like Dick Dale with it.

Why do you guys persist in burying the volume to the max and expect it not to break up. It's a 25 watt amp not a marshal stack. If you want a better sound with it spend the money for a Ragin' Cajun'.
