Hi everyone. I'm hoping to learn from some of you that have already gone down the road to replacing the stock speaker in a Blues Junior. My BJ is stock, built probably 3 years ago. The amp is very bright and shimmery, which is expected. Except it's too bright and shimmery for my liking and I want to warm it up with a different speaker. I've tried an Eminence Texas Heat and that made it even more bright and shimmery. I rarely use the OD of the speaker preferring instead to use pedals. I'm looking for a replacement speaker that will warm the amp up a good bit. Any suggestions are appreciated in advance. Thank you!!!!

I'd call Weber and see what they think. Great speakers and great folks to deal with.

I replaced the speaker in my NOS Blues Jr several years ago with a "Swamp Thang". I removed the Jenson speaker that was supposed to give the little amp the ultimate sound...(BULL!!!). I am fortunate to live in Eminence Kentucky which is the home base of Eminence Speaker's USA operation. I also have a couple of good friends that work in Engineering & Research (Tom James) and Customer Service (Anthony "Big Tony" Lucas). Tom and Anthony supplied me with a prototype of this speaker before it actually went on the market commercially. It made all the difference in the world in this amplifier!! It gives it somewhat of a muddier sound at low & high volumes...I call it the "Skynyrd Speaker". I know everyone has their own tastes in tone & sound...and believe me I have been searching for several years now for that perfect sound. I found it with the Blues Jr and Eminence's Swamp Thang!! I mic the amp when playing out and it performs well in all situations...clean or dirty. By the way, I also bought the "Big Brother" to my little Blues Jr..which also has the lacquer tweed covering and Jenson Speaker. I have already removed the Jenson and replaced it with an Eminence "Red, White, And Blues". It took the amp from a "Stocker" to a "Pro Stocker". Eminence has also recently introduced a new attenuator speaker (Flux Density Modulation) which they presented for the first time at the recent NAMM show. They have applied for a patent on this new product..and it will not be available commercially for about another 6 months. I already have my name in the pot for one of these!!! Check it out on their website at EMINENCE.COM. This new product will be the first of it's kind and is going to change the way all guitar players think concerning "Guitar Speakers"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Guitarmanecfan.

Tone is really subjective. It's really hard to recommend something. There are lots of choices.
