My Blues Junior is making this weird popping noise and then an awful sounding feedback noise a few seconds later. The amp was bought in August of 2009, so I doubt it's a case of old tubes, but I have very little knowledge in this subject. I am also pretty sure that it is the amp since my guitar works fine through my Behringer V-Amp with headphones.

What could be going wrong?

+1 Check the tubes. Tubes can last decades or just minutes. You never know.
Could just be a bad preamp tube.

Ever come to a solution on this problem?
I also had issues with my output jack.....worked it a few times and the problem was fixed. Could also check the tube sockets themselves.

I took the amp back to where I bought it since it was still under warranty. I think it was a tube issue, since some of the tubes have been replaced (and unfortunately I had to pay for them). I'm not 100% sure of the details though since I haven't seen it since (living away from home, where the store is, right now).

I agree with the others who said to check the tubes. I had static in mine when I first brought it home, I looked at them and they shifted, probably from transporting it. After I seated them right the noise went away.
