I finally got the Yellow Jackets Triodes with JJ EL-84 tubes and installed them in my 65 DRRI. Sounded like crap! Couldn't put the original 6V6's back in there fast enough.

The Yellow Jackets seriously cut the power in the normal channel but did not work properly with the Reverb/Vibrato channel. And it just all sounded bad. When I hit the reverb/trem footswitch, the volume shot up to about normal. Unworkable.

May work for some amps but not a good choice for the 65 DRRI. Anyone want a set of YJ-20T's? I really love the sound of this amp and it gets better the louder its played.

I am really consider in this little 5 watt model for home use. Check it out, and check out the sound clips if you have decent speakers on your computer:

I got an idea I think you are going to love.
Industrial Earplugs
They are cheap, some are reuseable and... they come in a variety fashionable colors. They even make for pets, (Birds, cats, dogs, goldfish too)
Buy them for your family and neighbors and friends for a fraction of the cost of a 5 watt amp. They'll love em and so will you.
Now, you can crank it up all the way.
Don't forget to buy some for yourself.
